Use of wireless (radio frequency), scanner-terminals for recording events in the warehouse. RF devices scan barcodes. RFID (radio-frequency identification) do not scan barcodes but instead use radio waves to transfer information from electronic tags. The advantage of RFID is that a barcode label does not need to be visible to the scanner for it to get the information, which saves time.
A system known to increase accuracy in recording inventory movement and to increase efficiency by eliminating paper transactions that by their very nature can not update the system in real time.
