Located in the Willamette Valley in western Oregon, Multiport serves customers located primarily in the western U.S. Most work is performed in the office, which provides for a stable lifestyle, although there is occasional travel to customer sites. Entry-Level Technical Position
The position involves handling assigned programming and implementation tasks while at the same time taking support calls. The most likely place to move up to from Support Technician is to Account Manager.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position will have a balance of general business experience and technical skills. Experience with a wholesale distributor is particularly valued. Technical experience should include a programming environment and an operating system, Unix, NT or NetWare. Experience with the Progress programming environment is a plus, but not required.

Management-Level Technical Position
At most VARs this position is usually titled Project Manager. The title is different at Multiport because the Account Manager remains the key customer contact at Multiport for the life of the system. The position involves system-implementation management, management of Support Technicians, hosting software demonstrations and performing in a support role for other Account Managers.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position will meet the requirements for the Support Technician above and have project management experience.
